  • What is a prompt fest?

During the first period, people submit prompts. A prompt can be anything - a word, a quote, a kink, a scenario, a book, a song, and whatever else you can think of. Then we will post a numbered list with all the prompts. You pick a prompt and claim it during the claiming period. Then we will send you a confirmation email and you will have two months to write a fic or draw art based on the prompt you claimed. Then we will post the stories and artworks anonymously and post an anonymous masterlist when everything's been posted. Sometime later, the reveals will be posted and you can post your fics and art to your own journal.

  • What is special in this prompt fest?

Except for the fact that it's all about the pairing of Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy, nothing. Any genres, kinks, ratings, etc. are allowed. There's no specific theme, so go crazy.

  • Rules for Prompt Submission:

    • All prompts must obviously have Albus/Scorpius as the main pairing. Secondary pairings are welcome but the relationship between Albus and Scorpius has to be the focus.

    • You don't have to claim a prompt to submit one.

    • You may submit as many prompts as you like. No limits whatsoever, but if you submit multiple prompts, please post each prompt in a new comment - makes it easier for the mods ;)

    • And since most of you probably like to be prepared, here's the template we want you to use to claim a prompt:

      Username: [your LJ username]
      Prompt:

And here again in a handy dandy copy/paste box:

    • This is not the prompt submitting post!

  • Rules for Prompt Claiming:

    • First come, first served. You will be asked to pick your three favourite prompts and if someone else claims your #1 before you get the chance to do it, you'll automatically get your second choice. Even though we will be striking out the prompts as soon as they're claimed, there's no guarantee you'll get your first choice. So it would be great if you could indicate a second and third choice.

    • You don't need to submit a prompt to claim one.

    • Prompt claiming is anonymous.

    • Each prompt may be claimed by one author and one artist. If we're running out of unclaimed prompts, we might do a second claiming round.

    • Each participant can claim as many prompts as they want, but your first submission must be finished before you claim a second prompt, etc. If you submit your fic early, you can go back and pick a second prompt - if you're sure you can complete your work before the deadline.

    • Don't claim a prompt if you know you're going to disappear on us.

  • General Rules & Information

    • Fics must have a minimum word count of 1,000 words. There is no upper word limit.

    • Artworks should reflect the same time and effort. And just to be clear - photomanipulations, a picture with some fancy Photoshop effects or stickfigures do not count as art. Whether you draw with a pencil, watercolours or a pen tablet doesn't matter. Your art can be stand-alone, accompanied by a drabble, a comic or an animation. As long as you draw it yourself and spend some time on it, we're fine.

    • Collaborations are allowed. If you write better with a co-author, feel free to do that.

    • All fics must be beta-read. If you don't have a beta, ask someone on your friendlist, post a request on [profile] hp_betas or check out the beta-post we will make after prompt claiming closes.

    • Fics and art will be posted anonymously. You're not allowed to post your work on your personal journal or tell anyone what you wrote or draw until after the reveals.

  • Fic & Art Submission

    • Fics should be submitted in a .doc or .docx file. Art should be submitted in a .jpg, .png or .gif file. If you can't convert your files to any of those formats, contact us and we'll try to figure out an alternative.

    • Fics should contain all HTML coding, such as bold and italic. Please please please also make sure that there's always an empty line between each paragraph - if there isn't, your fic will be a massive block of text and it will be a pain for us to fix later. In other words: If you're using Word 2007 or later versions, make sure to hit the enter key twice when starting a new paragraph!

    • Please title your document/file "Username - Prompt #". Use the same line as your email header. You wouldn't believe how much easier that makes things for us :)

    • If your fic is longer than 10,000 words, let us know where you want us to split it, since it won't fit into a single LJ post.

    • Send your completed fic or art to the.ass.fest@gmail.com and we will send you a confirmation mail as soon as we get your submission. If you don't hear back from us within 24 hours, send your fic again, just to make sure we actually get it.

    • Please use the following header for fic:

  • Please use the following header for art:
